- 1 lb 450g Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese divided
- ½ tsp salt adjust to taste
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes lemon zest, or balsamic glaze
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the Brussels sprouts: Wash, trim, and cut them in half.
Season: In a large bowl, toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and half of the Parmesan cheese until evenly coated.
Roast: Spread them in a single layer on the baking sheet. Roast for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
Finish: In the last 5 minutes of roasting, sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top.
Serve: Remove from the oven, add optional garnishes like lemon zest or balsamic glaze, and enjoy hot.
