For the Pizza Dough (or use store-bought):

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet 2¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ¾ cup warm water 110°F

For the Toppings:

  • ½ cup barbecue sauce your favorite brand or homemade
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon cooked and crumbled
  • ¼ cup thinly sliced red onion optional
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley or oregano for garnish optional
  • Olive oil for brushing crust edges

Instructions
 

Prepare the Dough (Skip if using store-bought):

  • In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy. Stir in flour, salt, and olive oil. Knead until a smooth dough forms. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.

Preheat Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.

Roll Out the Dough:

  • On a floured surface, roll the dough into a 12-inch circle. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet or preheated pizza stone.

Assemble the Pizza:

  • Spread the barbecue sauce evenly over the dough. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Top with crumbled bacon and red onions (if using). Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the top.

Bake the Pizza:

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and melted.

Garnish & Serve:

  • Remove from oven, garnish with fresh parsley or oregano, slice, and enjoy your delicious Barbecue Bacon Pizza!
