Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (pounded to even thickness)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro optional, for garnish
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

Make the Marinade:

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together lime juice, orange juice, olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, oregano, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

Marinate the Chicken:

  • Place chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, seal, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight for deeper flavor).

Preheat the Grill:

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.

Grill the Chicken:

  • Remove the chicken from the marinade and shake off excess. Grill for 5–6 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and juices run clear.

Rest and Serve:

  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh cilantro and lime wedges. Serve hot with your favorite sides like rice, black beans, or grilled vegetables.
