These frozen banana bites are a simple chocolate-dipped snack with a creamy banana center and crisp chocolate coating. They require no baking and can be customized with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe but firm bananas.
  • 1 cup semisweet or dark chocolate chips.
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil optional.
  • ¼ cup chopped nuts optional.
  • ¼ cup shredded coconut optional.
  • 2 tablespoons sprinkles optional.
  • ¼ teaspoon flaky sea salt optional.
  • Peanut butter optional.

Instructions
 

  • Peel the bananas and slice them into rounds about ½ inch thick.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Arrange the banana slices in a single layer without touching.
  • Freeze the slices for at least 30 minutes, until firm.
  • Melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil in 20-second microwave intervals, stirring between each interval.
  • Dip each frozen banana slice halfway or completely into the melted chocolate.
  • Place the dipped slices back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Immediately add chopped nuts, coconut, sprinkles, crushed cookies, or sea salt.
  • Freeze for another 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm.
  • Transfer the banana bites to an airtight freezer-safe container.
  • Let them sit for a few minutes before serving if they are too firm.
