Homemade White Pizza is a delicious, creamy alternative to traditional red sauce pizza. Made with a rich garlic-infused white sauce and topped with a blend of ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan, this no-tomato pizza is a cheese lover’s dream. Ingrédients
  

For the Dough (or use store-bought):

  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar

For the White Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil or unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk or heavy cream
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp dried oregano
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

For the Toppings:

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup shredded Parmesan
  • 1 tsp dried basil or Italian seasoning
  • Optional: sautéed mushrooms spinach, caramelized onions, arugula

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

  • In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  • Add flour, olive oil, and salt. Mix and knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth.
  • Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Step 2: Make the White Sauce

  • Heat olive oil or butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux.
  • Gradually whisk in milk or cream until smooth.
  • Add salt, pepper, oregano, and Parmesan cheese. Simmer until thickened. Set aside.

Step 3: Assemble the Pizza

  • Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface. Transfer to parchment paper.
  • Spread the white sauce evenly over the dough.
  • Add dollops of ricotta, then sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan.
  • Add optional toppings and sprinkle with basil or Italian seasoning.

Step 4: Bake

  • Transfer the pizza (with parchment) onto the hot baking surface.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  • Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
