Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 large Chicken Breasts, boneless, skinless, sliced thinly
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil, for searing
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup Sun-Dried Tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (optional for spice)
  • 8 oz Pasta, such as penne, rigatoni, or fettuccine
  • Fresh Basil, for garnish

Instructions

Cooking the Pasta

  • Start by cooking the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Searing the Chicken

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the sliced chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Sautéing Garlic and Tomatoes

  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sun-dried tomatoes. Cook for about 2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.

Making the Sauce

  • Pour in the chicken broth, followed by the heavy cream. Stir well and let the mixture simmer for about 3-5 minutes.

Adding Cheese and Seasoning

  • Lower the heat and add the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is well mixed.

Combining Chicken and Pasta

  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Add the drained pasta and mix everything together until the pasta is coated with the sauce.

Garnishing and Serving

  • Serve the dish hot, garnished with fresh basil.

Notes

For the best flavor, use fresh ingredients such as garlic and basil. Adjust the spice level with crushed red pepper flakes as desired. If leftovers are available, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
