Ingrédients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (sliced or pounded thin)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes chopped
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 9 oz cheese tortellini fresh or refrigerated
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Chicken:

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

Sauté Garlic & Tomatoes:

  • In the same skillet, add garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

Make the Cream Sauce:

  • Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir well, scraping up any browned bits. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat.

Add Cheese & Tortellini:

  • Stir in parmesan cheese until melted. Add tortellini and cook according to package instructions (typically 4–5 minutes), until tender and heated through.

Combine & Serve:

  • Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet. Let everything simmer for another minute or two. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm!
