Ingredients
  

  • 12 ounces smoked sausage sliced.
  • 8 ounces pasta.
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning.
  • 1 small onion diced.
  • 2 cloves garlic minced.
  • 1 bell pepper sliced.
  • 2 cups chicken broth.
  • 1 cup heavy cream.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese.
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil.
  • Salt and black pepper to taste.

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add the sausage and brown it for a few minutes.
  • Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic, then cook until softened.
  • Stir in the Cajun seasoning and red pepper flakes if using.
  • Add the pasta and chicken broth, then bring to a simmer.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese.
  • Cook for another minute or two until the sauce is creamy and smooth.
  • Season with salt and black pepper if needed.
  • Serve warm, topped with extra Parmesan if desired.
