- 12 ounces smoked sausage sliced.
- 8 ounces pasta.
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning.
- 1 small onion diced.
- 2 cloves garlic minced.
- 1 bell pepper sliced.
- 2 cups chicken broth.
- 1 cup heavy cream.
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese.
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional.
- 1 tablespoon olive oil.
- Salt and black pepper to taste.
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add the sausage and brown it for a few minutes.
Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic, then cook until softened.
Stir in the Cajun seasoning and red pepper flakes if using.
Add the pasta and chicken broth, then bring to a simmer.
Cook, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese.
