Pumpkin Whipped Feta Dip
chef Laya
This pumpkin whipped feta dip is the kind of appetizer that looks fancy but barely makes you work for it. It brings together creamy feta, smooth pumpkin, a little honey, and thyme for a sweet-savory combo that just works.
- About 8 oz block of feta cheese drained from brine
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 cup canned pumpkin puree unsweetened
- 1 to 2 tbsp honey plus more for serving
- 1 tsp dried thyme or 2 tsp fresh thyme
- Freshly cracked black pepper
- Fresh thyme for garnish
- Chopped walnuts optional
- Extra honey for drizzling
- Crusty toasted bread like sourdough or baguette
- Crackers
Add the feta and Greek yogurt to a food processor.
Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
Add the pumpkin puree, honey, thyme, and black pepper.
Blend again until everything is creamy and fully combined.
Transfer the dip to the fridge and chill for 30 to 60 minutes.
When ready to serve, spoon it into a bowl and top with walnuts, fresh thyme, a drizzle of honey, and a few more cracks of pepper.
Serve with toasted bread and crackers.
