- 1 prepared pizza dough store-bought or homemade
- ¾ cup pizza sauce tomato-based or spicy arrabbiata
- 1 ¼ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 100 g about 3.5 oz Spanish chorizo, thinly sliced OR 150 g raw Mexican chorizo, crumbled and cooked
- ½ red bell pepper sliced
- ½ small red onion thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried Italian herbs oregano, basil, thyme
- Optional toppings: sliced black olives chili flakes, fresh basil
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
Prepare Dough: Roll out pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza stone.
Add Sauce: Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
Add Cheese and Toppings: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce.Arrange sliced chorizo, red bell pepper, and red onion on top.Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian herbs. Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
Garnish & Serve: Remove from the oven. Top with optional chili flakes or fresh basil. Slice and serve hot.
