Ingredients
Croissants & Chocolate
- 10-13 oz package mini croissants or 4-5 large croissants, torn or chopped into pieces.
- 1.5-2 cups semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips.
Custard
- 2 8-oz packages cream cheese, softened.
- 1-1⅓ cups granulated sugar.
- 4 large eggs.
- 2 tsp vanilla extract.
- 2 cups whole milk or 1 can evaporated milk.
- Optional: ½ tsp cinnamon 2 Tbsp maple syrup for extra flavor.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Arrange chopped croissants in the dish. Sprinkle evenly with chocolate chips.
- Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, eggs, vanilla, and milk; mix until fully combined and pourable.
- Pour custard evenly over croissants, pressing down gently to soak. Let stand 20 minutes or refrigerate overnight.
- Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes until set in the center and golden on top.
- Cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm.
