  • 10-13 oz package mini croissants or 4-5 large croissants, torn or chopped into pieces.
  • 1.5-2 cups semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips.

Custard

  • 2 8-oz packages cream cheese, softened.
  • 1-1⅓ cups granulated sugar.
  • 4 large eggs.
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract.
  • 2 cups whole milk or 1 can evaporated milk.
  • Optional: ½ tsp cinnamon 2 Tbsp maple syrup for extra flavor.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Arrange chopped croissants in the dish. Sprinkle evenly with chocolate chips.
  • Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, eggs, vanilla, and milk; mix until fully combined and pourable.
  • Pour custard evenly over croissants, pressing down gently to soak. Let stand 20 minutes or refrigerate overnight.
